FAQ:

WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?

My hourly rate is $75, as of 2023. All evaluations are set at 3 hours in length (totaling $225) due to the extensive nature of gathering client history, completing the actual assessment, and finalizing the write up. Face-to-face time for the evaluation usually lasts 1-2 hours, with the remaining hour spent on documentation. We use a "Direct Pay" model.

WHAT ARE "DIRECT PAY" SERVICES?

"Direct Pay" is when the client pays directly for services at the time of the visit. Direct pay services allow me to spend more time with patients and not have insurance dictate patient care.

DO YOU OFFER FINANCING OPTIONS?

At this time, we do not offer financing options. However, I am happy to discuss your financial needs during a complimentary 15 minute consult and we can determine if there is a therapy visit structure that works best for your budget.

WILL MY INSURANCE COVER MY VISIT?

We accept HSA/FSA cards as a payment option. Regarding "out of network" claim submission: it is possible for you to file claims directly with your insurance company for reimbursement of some or all of your cost, but I cannot guarantee what your individual plan will or will not cover. I do not communicate directly with any insurance companies, and I do not complete out of network paperwork for individual insurance companies.

WHERE IS YOUR CLINIC LOCATED?

I do not have an in-person clinic! I use a secure, Electronic Medical Record provider called "TheraPlatform" to document our sessions and to provide teletherapy services. We will meet virtually for all visits. You will need an adequate internet connection, and computer access to a microphone and a camera in order for us to establish a virtual connection.

I LIVE OUTSIDE OHIO, CAN YOU TREAT ME?

Unfortunately I am not currently licensed outside of Ohio. The Ohio Board of Speech Pathology & Audiology is currently working toward shared licensing requirements with nearby midwestern states, which may allow me to expand my services in the future.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical services, including speech therapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of services provided by Seasons of Life Speech Therapy.

  • You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you chose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your Records.

  • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
